Hanukkah Party with Michael Winograd & the Honorable Mentshn
Come celebrate the eighth night of Hanukkah with everyone's favorite Klezmer band, the Honorable Mentshn, from Brooklyn NYC. According to Shoshana Oysher, "it is customary on Hanukkah for everyone to get together to play games and sing songs, both traditional, folk and otherwise" (from Moishe Oysher's "Chanukah Party," 1950). And that's the plan. Clarinetist Michael Winograd and his band are thrilled to be joined by the fabulous Berlin-based Yiddish songstress Sasha Lurje for a night of good times, good beats, and miracles abound! Don't miss out! What better way to spend the third night?? And like the menorahs shining through the streets of Northampton, this party will most certainly be lit.
