Description

Join library and museum educators at the second program in the bi-monthly homeschool program series hosted by the Museum of Work and Culture and the Woonsocket Harris Public Library.

December’s program will explore the different holiday traditions celebrated around the globe and will be offered twice. The first program will begin at the Museum at 10:00 am, where families will be given a tour of the new Holiday Toy Display, full of historic toys from the Rhode Island Historical Society collections. After the tour families will learn about various holiday traditions from around the globe and seek to identify similarities or differences in themes and practices.

At 11:00 am, participants will move to the Harris Public Library where the children will travel from station to station learning about various holidays through interactive activities and collecting passport stamps as they go.

The first program will run from 10am - 12pm and the second program will run from 11am - 1pm, both beginning at the Museum.
