Join us for an intimate, acoustic performance at our home, "York Street Live" in Denver, Colorado, featuring the internationally acclaimed guitarist, Hiroya Tsukamoto. 

 

This is a rare opportunity to witness a performer who has been celebrated for his ability to take listeners on an “impressionistic journey” (Boston Herald).  Enchanting music that promises to resonate long after the final note is played.

 

About Hiroya Tsukamoto

Hiroya Tsukamoto is a one-of-a-kind composer, guitarist, and singer-songwriter from Kyoto, Japan. He began playing the five-string banjo when he was thirteen and took up the guitar shortly after. Hiroya has been enthralling audiences with his intricate fingerstyle guitar performances, weaving in elements of folk, jazz, and world music. His music is deeply emotive and his concerts are known for their tranquil and introspective atmosphere.

 

Tsukamoto brings a blend of masterful fingerstyle guitar and evocative storytelling that transcends cultural barriers. His artistry, honed at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, has been celebrated on renowned stages like the Blue Note in NYC and the United Nations, and lauded for its “delicate, fluid, and beautifully detailed” style by Acoustic Guitar magazine.

 

Tsukamoto’s concerts are not just musical events; they are immersive experiences that weave lyrical narratives with intricate melodies. About the Venue - York Street Live

York Street Live is the moniker we use for hosting musical performances at our private home, in the heart of Denver, Colorado. We are your hosts, Eric Matelski and Amy McKnight. Our backyard house concerts, paired with Eric's art studio create the perfect setting for an evening of acoustic music, enjoying food, drink, and art, and relaxing with friends in our urban oasis.

 

Event Details

• Confirmed attendees will receive email updates and details closer to showtime.
• Doors open at 5:30. Performance begins at 6:00pm and will include a short break.
• Seating is first-come, first-served, and every seat has a great view. You'll be in a tranquil and private backyard setting (or indoors if it rains).
• Your ticket price is a donation for the musician, and includes refreshments. Additional donations go 100% to the artist and are greatly appreciated.
• Art by Eric Matelski will have an open art studio.
• Artwork and musician's merchandise will be available for purchase.
