Description

Join library and museum educators at the fourth program in the bi-monthly homeschool program series hosted by the Museum of Work and Culture and the Woonsocket Harris Public Library.

April's program will be held entirely at the Harris Public Library, will be offered twice and will focus on textile arts. Families can explore the many ways that people have created with textiles historically and today. From crochet, to knitting, to weaving to quilting; participants will explore these mediums, learn about how they were used by the people who created them and what they meant to them.  Students will then compare the elements of handiwork vs mass production by crafting their own woodland animal sewing project, which is theirs to keep.

The first program will run from 10am - 12pm and the second program will run from 11am - 1pm, both at the Harris Library.
