Ian McFarland is a Berklee alumnus and New York City-based performer who is quickly grabbing the attention of indie punk listeners everywhere and racking up quite the performance history in the process. McFarland continuously provides a lively show with contagious energy and enticing audience engagement. McFarland’s last single, “Irish Goodbye”, was picked up by KEXP, KCRW, WODU, WERU, WLFR, CJUM, KRVM, KVNF, WFIT, WGDR, WMNF, Radio Max Music, WMVY, WXPR, KUPR, WHFR, KXRY, KZUM, WPKN, KCBX, KXLU / KLMU Online Radio, WUTK, CHMR, KFAI, KKFI, KMUD, and more.
With vivid lyrical imagery and walls of guitar, bass, and drums reminiscent of the all-time greats in alt-rock, "Loser" shows a never before seen edge to McFarland’s music that is both compelling and catchy. Written and recorded in Brooklyn, NY with engineering and drums performed by fellow Berklee alumni, Ryan Melone, and mastering by alma mater, Max Grazier, this song has come together with the help of many up and coming talents. “Loser” is captivating, relatable, and flashy with slide guitar work and iconoclastic edge that is unabashedly angsty.
