Description
This is not our world with trees in it.
It’s the world of trees, where humans have just arrived.
- Richard Powers
Whether we recognize it or forget it, we interact with trees every moment of our lives. Trees sustain us. On this twilight stroll through the forest, we will consider the relationship we have with trees, and honor those living beings that give us so, so much. And, we will reconnect with the prehistoric world that surrounds us to this day.
Join us for this last Tranquility Walk of the 2024 - 2025 season. All ages are welcome with the understanding that this walk will be a silent, reflective experience. Wear footwear suitable for trail walking in the woods, and dress appropriately for whatever the weather might bring. You are welcome to bring trekking poles if you wish.
Because this is an after hours program and the arboretum will be closed to the general public, please plan to arrive a few minutes early as the gates will close promptly at 6:30 PM. Group size will be limited, so register early to be sure to secure a spot!
In the event of severe weather or a storm, we will post cancellation information on the Klehm website, and participants will be notified by email.
