What does "Independent" mean?
-There is no instruction provided. You must have be able to work independently on the wheel. Past students of Community Clay, students from other studios who have taken multi-week classes within the last 2 years, and experienced potters are welcome.
-Glazing and trimming must be done during an Independent Studio session.
-All work must be signed and, if classes are in session, stamped with a small session stamp of our choosing.
-Email us for approval to drop-in. Cost is $40 per day.

Independent Studio sessions are 3 hours long, including cleanup. Includes use of community tools, clay (up to around 15# per person per session), and glazes. Cost is $0.06 per cubic inch to glaze fire any pieces you want to keep (bisque included).
The last day of the session, any unfired pieces left on the shelves will be recycled. No exceptions. You may not bring home partially finished pieces (i.e. we must fire for you).
