The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.

Chef Kanthi brings the authentic tastes of Kerala to the Community Kitchen, sharing his professional cooking techniques and flavour combinations so you can prepare a delicious Keralan meal in Brighton.
Kerala is know for its diverse cuisine, beautiful coastline and rich history. Kanthi will take you step by step through his favourite dishes from the region. Before sitting down around our communal dining table to enjoy what you have made.
A typical menu will include:
- Keralan beef Curry- a flavourful, rich and aromatic curry.
- Seasonal vegetable thoran- A delicious vegetarian dish made with coconut and spices.
- Green gram dhal.
- Coconut and cashew rice.
Dietary information: The class is Gluten Free This class is adaptable for vegetarian and vegan diets but this must be specified when booking. The class involves cooking with nuts. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
