Learn all about acrylic painting in a 3-part series and create your own acrylic work of art. All materials are included, we ask that you do not bring your own paints or surfaces. If you would like to use your own brushes, you are welcome to.
This class will cover what acrylic paint is, how to mix colors, introduction to pigment names and attributes, how to select and clean your brushes, using palette/painting knives, mediums, painting surfaces and methods of painting.
The first two sessions will be focused on learning about acrylic paints and experimenting. The last part of session 2 will be planning out a painting for session 3. You may select your own photo reference or work from one in our reference library.
January Session:
This three-part series takes place on Sundays (January 19, 26, and February 2) from 3-6 pm.
This class is recommended for ages 14+. We will be handling paints and mediums that can be potentially harmful and will cover safety guidelines during the first session. All materials are included; we ask that you do not bring your own paints or surfaces.
