Included, oil painting paper, one canvas, oil paint, 3 assorted brushes and a disposable pallet knife, and disposable paper pallet.
Following a quick grounding exercise to get you freed up and in the moment, to get out of our heads! Give yourself permission to try something new, or to return to painting with fresh eyes.
We are excited to offer this workshop. The entire history of the farm is wrapped up in the pursuit of art. My grandmother a landscape painter bought this farm in part for its gentle rolling views. Three generations of my family were painters. Long before we were farmers Kevin and I were artists first, and the choice to grow lavender came out of a desire to “paint” the landscape around us. We designed our lavender plantings to heighten the natural beauty of the farm with painting in mind. Now we get to share our appreciation for the farm through painting.
Instructor Bio:
Sophia Watkins is the founder of Soleado Lavender Farm along with her husband Kevin. She is a lifelong artist, a teacher, and product and landscape designer. Sophia developed the Drawing In the Moment teaching approach sharing many of the techniques she used to restart her art practice.
