John Smith
Born in Essex, raised by the Devon seaside, and making his bones in the bars and clubs of Liverpool, England, John has released six studio albums with over 100 million Spotify streams. He has played to audiences all over the world in living rooms, festival tents, and sold-out concert halls, barely pausing for breath during his eighteen years as a full-time independent touring musician. His latest album, The Fray, was released worldwide in March 2021 on his own imprint, Commoner Records, via Thirty Tigers.

Miranda Mulholland

Classically trained on violin and in voice, Miranda Mulholland is a JUNO Award-nominated fiddler and singer dubbed the “sweet secret weapon of Canadian Roots Music” by Brad Wheeler at the Globe and Mail. Her solo album, By Appointment or Chance, recorded in Twyford, England with an international band has received critical acclaim and a JUNO nomination for Roots Traditional Album of the Year in 2020. Her debut full length solo album, Whipping Boy, was released in May 2014 and became the flagship of her own record label Roaring Girl Records which has a reputation as a home for diverse and excellent artists. She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Muskoka Music Festival (formerly Sawdust City Music Festival) in Gravenhurst, Ontario.

Red Bird is an intimate, 80 capacity music venue with excellent sound and sight lines from every seat.

We are licensed and have a selection of locally crafted beers and ciders plus a small but fine selections of wine and spirits. 

We also carry a selection of non-alcoholic beverages such as locally made sodas and non-alcoholic beers, and a small menu of snack foods such as pressed sandwiches, hot dogs, soft pretzels and pastries.

Unless otherwise noted, all shows are all ages. Everyone must have a ticket, regardless of age. 

Doors open one hour ahead of the performance time. 

Parking is available at the south end of our building and on side streets (please be respectful of parking restrictions).

Regrettably, our space is not accessible. There are six gradual and wide steps to our front door with railings on each side. Once inside, everything is on one floor including an accessible washroom. 

Event end times will vary depending on the artist.
