Instead of Cancun, anthropology student Nan Barlow decides to spend her spring break in a perpetually fog-laden Massachusetts town that was once the site of some weapons-grade witchcraft hysteria. The professor that encourages her research trip is played by none other than Christopher Lee, so it’s no surprise that Whitewood turns out to be a dicey burg for academic study. Drenched, nay, SUBMERGED, in spooky atmosphere, The City of the Dead barrels through enough frightful delights in its scant 76 minutes to keep your hair standing on end all season long.
