KAMAHL: Since coming to prominence as a Malaysian born entertainer in Australia in the late 1950’s Kamahl’s unique style of compassion, love and wisdom have seen him in high demand for appearances around the globe.From humble beginnings, some lucky breaks and an appearance on the very first live telecast of “Adelaide Tonight” in 1959 , Kamahl has been a lounge and ballroom favourite for generations of our friends and families, including Royalty, Presidents and Prime Ministers.
Kamahl was listed by the Variety Club as one of the “Top 100 Entertainers of the Century” .
This intimate show in the historic 1887 heritage listed Ballarat Trades Hall combines all the elements that have made Kamahl one of our most endearing and enduring entertainers as he shares with us some of his chart - topping back catalogue, including Sounds of Goodbye, 100 Children, The Elephant Song all the way through to Old Man River.
ARCHER: Archer is a folk musician.  A country-blues crooner poet.  Singing by the Rivers, in the Nursing homes, singing for the children.  He is an author, has written hundreds of songs and spends most days Planting Trees and feeding delicacies to a giant Cow.  Archer recently featured in the cult classic documentary "I'm Wanita" and is busy recording an album with producer Michael Hohnen (Gurrumul) and composer Erkki Veltheim.  A unique and captivating voice
