Description
Three class series. November 2, November 16 5:30-8:00 and one to be decided.
$50 cost covers all three classes., students purchase yarn of their choice, see below.
Knitting Class: Multidirectional bias scarf or cowl taught by knitter extraordinaire Henne
Knitters will learn to use short rows to shape a bias-knit scarf or cowl.
Materials:
Enough yard in the weight you choose for this project
Worsted weight will need approximately 200 yards for a 4 foot scarf, or 300 yards for a 6 foot scarf. A 200 yard skein will be enough for a cowl with some left over
DK or sport weight will require slightly more, perhaps 300 for a 4 foot scarf and 400 f or a 6 footer.
Sock weight skeins are generally 200 or 400 yards. 400 yards should make a scarf, and is plenty for a cowl
Needles of a size recommended for the yarn you choose, or slightly larger to make a softer drapey fabric.
2 1-inch buttons if making a cowl
