The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
Traditional Korean ‘Banchan’ (small plates) are delicious, tasty and speedily made – perfect for the busy cook with a taste for adventure. Learn how to create three of the more popular Banchan with Kitchen favourite Jethro.
In this class you will use mostly familiar ingredients but also discover a few new ones, as your tastebuds take a delicious trip east.
You will work in pairs to make:
- Yachae Mandu (Korean Vegetable Dumplings)
- Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes)
- Kimchijeon (Kimchi Pancakes)
Dietary information: The menu for this class can be adapted to suit a vegan diet - please list this on your booking. This class involves cooking with seeds and gluten. The class is not adaptable for a Gluten Free diet. For any other allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us to discuss before booking.
