Description
Leaning into 12 years of growing lavender, we are bringing you the sixth edition of our lavender propagation and care workshop. Including additional, updated information, the class covers the life cycle of lavender plants.
Starting with making cutting, we share how plants are produced on farm and how you can at home. This is a wonderful skill to have as a gardener, these techniques are useful with many other plants.
Site selection and preparation, materials: what to use and what to avoid.
Possibly the most important step: Shaping your plant and harvesting. Believe it or not the life span of a lavender plant is directly related to how consistently it is trimmed back.
We will talk about how to harvest and dry lavender, sharing culinary and household uses.
Lavender is grown for so many reasons, for its beauty, to ward off mosquitoes in the garden, to make tea and lemonade, cookies and more!
The practices in this in depth workshop are also taught as mindfulness and selfcare practices in Wellbeing workshops.
