Description
Lindy Hop Basics Workshop
Join us at the Fallen Alders Community Club, for a delightful day of rhythm and movement at our Lindy Hop Basics Workshop.
This workshop is perfect for those who are new to Lindy Hop, a popular style of African American swing dance that originated in the 1920s and 1930s in Harlem, New York. You'll be introduced to the basic steps and movements of this energetic and fun dance style, guided by experienced instructors who are passionate about sharing their love for Lindy Hop.
This workshop will build off of the basic steps we teach at our Tuesday night beginner lesson at the Waverley in Cumberland. We suggest that you are comfortable with the basic rhythms that are taught at our drop ins. If you don’t know if this workshop is for you, please talk to any of the organizers at the Tuesday dances.
