Lip Sync 101: A DEEP DIVE INTO LIP SYNC!

 

A fun and feisty 3-hour workshop which requires no previous performance experience, only the willingness to learn, try, push and play. Lip Sync 101 will begin with a presentation on lip sync history and lip sync icons, and the rest of the session will be spent learning and playfully applying techniques and top tips for lively a lip sync performance.

 

Please bring to the workshop: a notebook, preferred writing implement, a water bottle and clothes you can move in - and maybe - get a bit sweaty in. We will explore the track WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT by Tom Jones, so please learn this quick song as best you can; we will have lyric sheets on the day if you need. Created and facilitated by queer performance and micro-theatre innovator Rubyyy Jones, this event is guaranteed to expand your understanding of lipsync and invigorate your creative energies. This workshop is perfect for people who like trying something new and creative, people who want to learn more about lipsync, 2SLGBTQIA+ people who want to explore their culture and art form and performers who want to expand their skill set.

 

Everyone is welcome to attend. The workshop is for adults

Free. Donations accepted and will go to the artist.
