Mark Lowry with The Sound and Endless Highway

Profound Biblical truths through music and storytelling.

Give your Easter Season a powerful start. The inspirational singer, songwriter, author and humorist is joined by two chart-topping family Gospel groups.

Mark Lowry is best known for singing baritone in the Grammy award-winning Gaither Vocal Band for over twenty years. He also served as the comedy sidekick in the group’s live concerts, videos and TV series. His musical recordings have earned him multiple Dove Awards, the highest honor in Gospel Music.

He is also famous for writing the lyrics to the world-famous Christmas classic “Mary Did You Know?” The song is one of the most loved modern Christmas songs of this century. It has been recorded more than 400 times by a broad base of music luminaries including Pentatonix, Reba McEntire, CeeLo Green, Michael English, Kenny Rogers, Sandi Patty and Rascal Flatts.

Lowry is a deep thinker with an outrageous sense of humor. His shows are fun and inspirational, sharing provocative realities through songs and stories that keep his multi-generational audiences on the edge of their seats.

His life’s work features a large catalog of diverse projects including videos, books, TV shows and CDs – resulting in a deep discography of gold and platinum recordings.

A native Texan, Lowry has entertained audiences since he was 11 years old. The musical soundtrack of his childhood rang rich with beautiful family harmonies of The Rambos, The Goodmans, and many more vocal groups.

It's no surprise that his love for family harmonies has only grown with age. Now he is touring with two of today’s greatest family groups, presenting a night of music, laughter and Biblical truths.

Endless Highway is a family vocal group that has released continuous singles on the Top 40 Gospel Music Charts. They are a regular featured artist on the National Quartet Convention Main Stage, The Ark Encounter, and other National Concert promotions. They have appeared on the Daystar Television Network, 3ABN, and on Gospel Music USA.

The group performs a blend of Southern Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, acapella, and acoustic music. They love to have fun but make no mistake – their goal is to exalt Christ, edify the church, and evangelize the lost.

The Sound is a Dove Award-winning band with four consecutive chart-topping hits. Their distinct, country-pop inspired music has captured the attention and affection of fans around the world. They’ve performed live for thousands at a time, and for millions on TV and social media.

Since 2019, their short career has been marked by five Dove Award nominations. Their latest album, “God Is Real” is a trailblazing record that incorporates worship with Nashville Country and Pop. It was released in 2022 and won a Dove Award for Country Album of the Year.

The Barnhill Center
Built-in 1925, in the grand architectural style of Beaux-Arts Classical Revival, the Simon Theatre provided a splendid setting for many theatrical performances, film screenings and ballroom dances. The James Simon family commissioned Houston architect Alfred C. Finn, whose career included designing a number of prominent Houston buildings as well as the San Jacinto Monument, to design the theatre for the community of Brenham. Today, after a meticulous million-plus dollar renovation, the glamour and grand style lives on for future generations in the newly named Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre.
