The inaugural event on January 27, 2024, for the McDonough Girls Club will be an inspiring "Create a Journal or Vision Board" gathering. A comfortable and safe space conducive to creativity and self-exploration. This meeting aims to kickstart the McDonough Girls Club by empowering girls to express themselves, set intentions, and dream big. With our guidance and a nurturing environment, girls will embark on a journey of self-discovery, creativity, and goal setting, fostering a sense of empowerment and camaraderie among members.

Here's what the event will entail:

Activities:

- Journaling Workshop: The Girls will learn various journaling techniques, including prompts for self-reflection and creativity.

- Vision Board Crafting: We will assist the girls in writing down their dreams and goals through the creation of vision boards, using magazines, images, and other craft supplies.

 

Purpose:

- Self-Expression: Encouraging girls to express their thoughts, aspirations, and dreams creatively.

- Goal Setting: Helping girls visualize and set achievable goals for personal growth.

- Empowerment: Providing a platform for girls to explore their interests and aspirations in a supportive environment.

 

Frozen Yogurt and snacks will be provided to fuel creativity and keep spirits high throughout the event.

Crafting supplies, journals, magazines, scissors, glue, markers, and other necessary materials provided for the activity.
