Description

Come and join us on this immersive workshop that will introduce you to the fascinating world of Medicinal Mushrooms and show you how to make your own broad spectrum mushroom tinctures at home.

We will kick things off in the morning with Clinical Herbalist Sarah who will take you on a deep dive into both the science and the traditional knowledge held by our Ancestors around the medicinal value of mushrooms.  The three fabulous mushrooms that we will focus on for the day will be Turkeytail, Lion's Mane and Shiitake.

Terry will then take you on a tour of his urban mushroom farm before we stop to enjoy a delicious mushroom themed lunch of pie and beer made from the very mushrooms grown onsite. Mushroom based beverages will also be available for you to sample throughout the day.

After lunch Sarah will carry out a detailed demonstration on how to make broad spectrum tinctures and glycerites out of medicinal mushrooms that you can easily carryout from the comfort of your own kitchen. You will be gifted samples made on the day to take home to help get you started on your medicinal mushroom journey!

And whats more, after the event you will receive an email with an ebook created by Sarah with the information covered on the day and a recommended reading list to help those interested in delving even further into the world of medicinal mushrooms!

Your hosts for the day are Urban Mushroom Farmer Terry Vaz from Hearty Growers and Registered Nutritional Therapist and Clinical Herbalist Sarah Hawkins from Fox & Hawk’s Botanicals.
