114 Main StThe Tuesday after Mother's Day, join us for a Momma Meet Up. Typically The Bighorn closes at 7pm on Tuesdays, but we are staying open an extra hour to maximize opportunities for us busy Momma's to enjoy each others' company.
Let’s gather as Mommas (or friends of Mommas) & wine lovers, to celebrate motherhood, our little ones, and to discuss ways we plan on celebrating all of life's biggest milestones with the little ones in our lives.
5:30 - 6:30pm: Welcome all the Mommas
Hopefully you had a wonderful Sunday celebration with your family. Now let's celebrate with friends. Grab a glass of your favorite beverage from the bar, introduce yourself to someone new, and get ready for a giant toast to all the Mommas of the world.

6:30pm: A Giant Toast to all the Mommas / Discussion about Birth Year Wines
Raise your glass with us as we toast all of the Mommas of the world. Whether you are a Momma, you have a Momma, or you know some Mommas, there is always a reason for a Momma Toast.
If you’ve been following The Bighorn for awhile, you likely know that I (Vanessa, owner of The Bighorn) am a mom. And I wanted to share a tradition with you that I've been working on for my babies, which propelled the creation of this event. Every year since my kids were born I’ve been purchasing and saving a “birth year wine” for them and my plan is to open these bottles with them later on in life.
When they turn 21 we will celebrate and share one of their birth year wines. When they graduate college. When they get their first job, or get married, or buy their first house, or have their own first baby, etc. etc. etc. (insert emotional momma tears here) I intend on having a collection of meaningful birth year wine gifts to celebrate their big accomplishments for decades to come. But the catch is, they have to open these bottles with me, so it is not just a gift, but also an experience we get to share together during all of the biggest moments of their lives. 🥹
If you have an interest in building a birth year collection for your kid(dos), or Grand kids, or nieces/nephews, etc.., this Momma Meet Up will be the perfect opportunity to do so.
If you don't have an interest in birth year wines but just want to hang out, that's great too!
7pm: Building Your Birth Year Wine Collection:
Building a wine collection can be intimidating, but we are here to help you navigate the unknowns.
Sign up to attend this evening and you will be prompted to share the birth year of your kid(dos). The evening of, Vanessa will have done research to find various wines that are available to get for you from the vintages/birth years of your babies. .
We will discuss what makes a good wine for aging and the approximate aging potential of each suggested selection.
If you love this idea and want to start your birth year wine collection, we can place an order and get you started! All wines purchased will arrive within 1-4 weeks (depending on whether those wines are already in Montana or need to be imported for you)
7-8pm: Relax and Enjoy the Evening
After we've selected your birth year wines, relax and enjoy the rest of the evening with friends.
Older kids/vintages
FYI. Older vintage wines become increasingly difficult to find and more expensive to purchase every passing day. If your kiddos are 10 or older, availability it going to be more limited. But Vanessa is up for the challenge!
