Description
City of Morrow hosts 2nd Annual Lantern Making Contest. Each participant has an opportunity to parade with their lantern for the judges and the audience to view. The objectives of the lantern competition are as follows:
Competition Guidelines and Rules:
- Each participant is allowed to enter a maximum of one (1) lantern.
- Lanterns MUST be portable.
- Features MUST be easily seen by viewers.
- Lanterns MUST be battery powered only. Battery packs should not be exposed.
- Lanterns should NOT have been entered in previous competitions.
- NO commercial or other logos should be used on lanterns.
- Text a picture of your completed lantern to (404) 784-5814 by September 14th, 2024
- Label your lantern: Name, Age, and Contact Number

- Portability/Portrayal
- Theme Content Relevance
- Craftsmanship
Who can enter:
Open to all age groups

Junior - 17 years old & under
Senior – 18 years old & up
DEADLINE: September 14, 2024

- Junior 1st Place - $200
- Junior 2nd Place - $150
- Junior 3rd Place - $100
- Senior 1st Place - $300
- Senior 2nd Place- $150
- Senior 3rd Place - $100
- Overall Champion - $1,000
