Loss impacts us in so many ways. We feel grief from loss in our body, our mind, and our heart. Attending to both the body and mind through movement and writing can aid in easing some of the symptoms of grief by helping to unite body, breath, and heart.

Reduce Stress | Connect Mind, Body, & Heart | Increase Energy | Improve Sleep & Relaxation | Heal Pain & Grief

Please join us for this limited-run grief group for people who are mourning the death of a beloved animal and would benefit from a supportive group to reflect, process, share, and heal. All bonds of love and care will be honored in this group, including those often disenfranchised in many other spaces (such as animals bred and killed for food or those who have loved an animal of a species many consider pests or scary).

In these four 90-minute sessions, you’ll care for your body with gentle movement and breathwork before taking some time to write from a prompt focused on an aspect of grief. Facilitated by Dallas Rising, an ordained interspecies chaplain and yoga instructor specializing in somatic grief work.

Participants should have reliable high-speed internet access, be able to log into a Zoom room, and plan to have a yoga mat or blanket, a journal or notebook, and a pen.

Register today! Space is limited to 8 participants.
Scholarships available if unable to cover full registration fee.

What should I expect from this Moving, Breathing, and Writing through Grief series? Each of the four sessions will incorporate the use of movement, breathwork, and guided journaling. Writing in response to a grief-related prompt will allow for reflection and processing, while the breathwork and movement will aid in being with the emotions and sensations that arise and moving through them.

Is there a fee to participate? The cost for this in-person event is $120 per person for the 4 part series. If you would like to participate but are unable to cover the fee, scholarship options are available. Likewise, if you are able to give a bit more, it would allow for others to participate who might not be able to otherwise. We hope that this program is accessible to all who need this support.
