Description
Our goal, as your board of directors, is to give back and provide value to our membership companies and employees, and to provide as many scholarships as possible to as many worthy candidates as our funding will allow. We do this by providing programs that inform, educate, train and motivate.
Since 2005, our chapter scholarship program has awarded $417,000 to 190 recipients who were children/spouses of employees at MSCI National and Northern Ohio member companies. This year, our scholarship committee plans to award at least 14 scholarships at $2,500 each. Last year, our committee was able to award 14 scholarships at $2,500 each.
Scholarship applications are open to MSCI Northern Ohio Chapter member's children/spouses who have been accepted to technical/career schools, two-year degree programs and four-year degree programs. This scholarship program is made possible by member participation in chapter events, our annual golf outing and Annual Local Chapter Dues (invoice included as Page 2 of the attached). The 2025 scholarship program opens January 1 and closes April 1.
Our Northern Ohio Chapter is always open to new ideas for programs and will gladly accept recommendations for new speakers. In addition, we are looking for new board members that will bring energy and new ideas to the group.
