Description

This program is offered in partnership with North Spore

The first part of class will be devoted to covering basic fungal biology and life cycle, mushroom myths/truths, and foraging practices. From there, we’ll head into the forest and scan for mushrooms, discussing our finds as we go. When we get back, we will work as a well-oiled machine to inoculate shiitake logs so everyone can grow mushrooms at home! If there's time we'll discuss other species and techniques you can use to take your mushroom endeavors even further!
