Description
What better way to celebrate National Trail Day than by participating in a Wildflower Walk and Invasive Plant Removal experience lead by Adam Bigelow? Not all plants found in the landscape and forests are to be celebrated. Exotic Invasive Plants cause ecological and economic damage. Adam’s approach is to rely heavily on mechanical, physical removal by cutting and digging out the Plants. It is intensive work, but a rewarding outcome.
The first half of the day will include an educational and leisurely wildflower walk where you will learn to identify plants and hear their stories. We will break for a nice picnic lunch (included in price), and in the afternoon, we will get our hands dirty by learning how to remove invasive plants.
