The Activist Kitchen Presents:

Near Myth: The Oskar Knight Story

Showing at an OSKAR KNIGHT PARTY!

With Q&A

Come out and celebrate the spirit of the days when the Oscars were Oscars and movies were Movies.

And relive the story of Hollywood in a way it’s never been told before.

From writer/director Scott Fivelson comes the award-winning Hollywood comedy biopic, Near Myth: The Oskar Knight Story, starring the late, great Lenny Von Dohlen (Twin Peaks, Tender Mercies, Electric Dreams) as legendary director, Oskar Knight.

Also starring a cavalcade of stars from throughout the decades of Hollywood! Including Academy Award Winner Margaret O’Brien, International Emmy Winner David Suchet, Joaquim de Almeida, Julianna Guill, Rudolf Martin, Kristina Anapau, Randall Batinkoff, Lawrence Pressman, Maya Stange, Julian Flynn, Jon Provost (the original “Timmy” from TV’s Lassie), Noel Neill (the original “Lois Lane” from TV’s Superman), and many more.

Oskar probably never should have made Oskar Knight’s Moby Dick, but he did make They Came in Low.

It’s Near Myth: The Oskar Knight Story.

Q&A with writer/director Scott Fivelson to follow the film.

“Delightfully crafted, engagingly funny… Sandwiched somewhere between This Is Spinal Tap and Sunset Boulevard, this unique biopic is the story of one of the greatest Hollywood directors that you’ve never heard of — Oskar Knight.” - The Ryder Magazine and Film Series

“I thought it was a documentary going into it, and the funny thing is that it’s not a documentary… It was a documentary, but not… Incredibly well-done – it blew me away… You guys have gotta see this… Was very, totally original… I’ve never seen a film like this.” – Amanda Kazzy Cryer, Kazzy Creates
