Description
It’s 1950s America—Newark, New Jersey—and business is booming, baby. Well, for some. For others, like Tom Matovich and his cutthroat employees of Matovich Fight Promotions, business is rotten. And so are they. With the threat looming of becoming yesterday’s news in the bare-knuckle boxing world, Tom assigns fledgling fight promoter, Shelly McReavey, with the impossible task of tracking down a mysterious and mythological fighter known as The Giant of Galway. Hoping for a more prominent role in the company and industry, Shelly accepts the seemingly impossible assignment. However, in doing so, Shelly unravels a series of dark and violent truths about her family’s past that threaten to destroy the lives and livelihoods of all connected. What begins as a quest for respect and representation becomes a murderous revenge play.
