Description

Inspired by the themes of Sukkot, hear from expert panelists on the issue of homelessness in the DC area. Learn about the roots of the problem, misconceptions about people experiencing homelessness, and the path forward to eradicating this issue. Then, join the discussion and build action tools over shared appetizers.  

 

Panelists include James Davis, Member of National Coalition for the Homeless Faces of Homelessness Speakers Bureau, Lara Pukatch, Chief Advocacy Officer, Miriam’s Kitchen, and Amber W. Harding, Executive Director, Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. Moderated by Rabbi Atara Cohen, Director of Jewish Life and Learning, Edlavitch DCJCC. 

 

In partnership with Edlavitch DCJCC’s Center for Social Responsibility and Jews United for Justice

 

Nights at the Round Table is a discussion-based series that promotes conversation, community-building, and civic engagement around contemporary issues.

 

Ticket includes a light kosher-style dinner. Catering provided by DC Central Kitchen.

Menu: Grilled Salmon with Honey Garlic and Rosemary Sauce, Seasonal Roasted Vegetables (V/GF), Charred Green Beans (V/GF), Rice and Quinoa Pilaf (V/GF).

Vegan main option available upon request.
