The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
Spend an evening with popular food writer, presenter and Community Kitchen favourite Lerato Umah-Shaylor. Lerato will show you how to become a master of spice and share amazing North African-inspired recipes from her new cookbook, Africana.
Under her expert guidance, You will work in pairs, and typically prepare dishes such as:
- Ras-el-hanout spice blend
- Celebration Tagine - inspired by Mrouzia. With saffron, apricots & preserved lemon and chicken or seasonal vegetables
- Saffron Potatoes & Peas
A glorious feast with a spice blend, two main dishes and a dessert.
