Description

Irene Nurith Cohn is a single mother of three, a psychotherapist and a social worker. She's also a volunteer first responder with Israel's Zaka Search and Rescue team — and the only woman in its SCUBA diver's unit.

In the aftermath of October 7th, Irene Nurith and her team helped recover the bodies of those massacred, performing "chesed shel emeth" — the truest acts of kindness, for which the recipient cannot thank the giver — paying last respect to the victims and helping restore their final dignity.

You're invited to join us at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue to hear directly from Irene Nurith about her experience as a first responder on Israel's darkest day.

This in-person event is co-sponsored by Stephen Wise Free Synagogue's Israel Committee and Amplify Israel initiative.
