Experience the magic of Oliver! Jr., the Broadway Junior adaptation of Lionel Bart's classic musical based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. Follow Oliver, a malnourished orphan, as he escapes the harsh conditions of a Victorian workhouse and becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Determined to find a better life, he flees to London, where he encounters a gang of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the cunning and elderly Fagin.
Oliver’s journey takes a hopeful turn when he is taken in by the benevolent Mr. Brownlow after being wrongfully accused of theft. But danger lurks as Fagin, alongside the menacing Bill Sikes and the kind-hearted Nancy, attempts to pull Oliver back into their dark world. The program is designed for an ensemble of dedicated students who want to learn from professionals and to have fun in a focused and safe environment. Students will rehearse and perform a musical that requires strong singer-actor skills. They will be encouraged to discover their own unique talents and how these can be translated into a dynamic stage performance.
