Thumbelina's and Ugly Duckling's life on the pond is filled with encounters with different creatures. They encounter groups of busy beetles and quacking ducks, a sinister mole and clueless mouse, a sheep who follows, and a frog emperor, who is excited to wear his new clothes! Both Thumbelina and the Ugly Duckling try to fit in, but at times are met with unkind words and are not accepted in certain groups. It's not until they meet that they discover a unique friendship and learn self-acceptance and discover nature's beauty along the way.
The show is geared for children, families and friends of all ages. Approximate time of the show is one hour and includes the play, meet-and-greet the pond creatures. Attendees will have an opportunity to design fun art projects at the Creation Station, run by the SCCC Child Development and Visual Arts programs.
