Description
“It’s not hard to make the right choices Mum, there’s a wrong way and a right way, it’s a pretty simple equation”.
Revolving around the music of the legendary ska band, Madness, and written by Tim Firth, (Calendar Girls), Our House is a very British musical.
Set in Camden Town, this hilarious and heart-warming musical tells the story of London lad Joe Casey, who, on the night of his sixteenth birthday, takes Sarah – the girl of his dreams – out on their first date. In an effort to impress her with his bravado, Joe breaks into a building site overlooking his home on Casey Street to show Sarah the view over north London. When the police arrive, Joes faces an agonising decision – run, or stay and face the consequences. Joe’s life splits in two and we witness the fortunes, and misfortunes of Good Joe and Bad Joe. Two parallel stories unfold and build towards an explosive climax.
Don’t miss this thumping good comedy musical, accompanied by all the iconic Madness tunes, (Embarrassment, Baggy Trousers, It Must Be Love, House of Fun, Driving in My Car, Night Boat to Cairo and many more classics). This Olivier Award-winning musical will have you dancing in the aisles and all the way home – a great night out to share with friends!
