Painting the Masters Workshop: Van Gogh Study in Line and Shape
Paint a landscape in the iconic style of possibly the most beloved painter of all time, Vincent Van Gogh.
In this workshop, local artist, Rita Richetti, will guide you as you paint an 11” x 14” acrylic painting that is inspired by Van Gogh’s landscapes, and focused on movement, color, line, and form.
Rita Richetti is a veteran visual artist. She paints primarily in oils, but also enjoys working in acrylics and oil pastels. Stylistically, she stay close to realism but occasionally veers off and adds a bit of whimsy to her paintings. Her favorite subject matter include close-ups of florals, cows, dogs, and horses. Rita’s work is regularly shown in local venues and galleries, and she is a proud member of the Lehigh Art Alliance, Bethlehem Palette Club, Nazareth Center for the Arts, and Parkland Art League.
Rita was awarded a BFA in drawing and two Masters degrees in education. She worked in Special Education for over twenty years, first as a teacher, then as a supervisor and principal. Rita’s goal is to bring joy and beauty through her art and to unleash creativity in people through a variety of artistic expressions and media.
