Do you impulse buy those pretty sheets or whole packs of decorative paper without knowing what to do with them? Do you have leftover wallpaper, wrapping paper, origami paper, or maybe some old drawings or paintings on paper that you just can’t throw away (but are never going to frame)? Let’s cut and fold and glue those honeys up already!!! This three-hour workshop will teach you how to transform your flat sheets into elegant ornaments, glitzy garlands, and psychedelic snowflakes just in time for your holiday cheer. Workshop cost includes supplies but this is a great opportunity to make use of any fun papers you've had lying around… ideal thickness is between printer paper and cardstock, but some thinner papers are OK if they don’t tear easily.
Instructor Bio:
Leslie A. Grossman is a printmaker, paper artist, bookmaker, wallpaper designer, gardener, traveler, animal lover, and foodie based in Lansdowne, PA. She hoards art supplies because she will absolutely need that thing someday, but also because she incorporates many different crafts and techniques into her work. Leslie began marbling paper around 7 years ago to use in her book arts, but has continued to find endless uses for these mesmerizing patterns in craft and design. She teaches marbling, book arts, and printmaking at craft schools and in her home studio.
