Description

Paranormal summer camp is the perfect way to spend a summer evening, whether you are curious about the supernatural, love history in all its forms, or want to try something new. Hosted in a 168-year-old house museum, the camp will start with a presentation about the property’s history before moving to paranormal investigation techniques and conclude with a two-hour investigation led by a certified medium.

About the Alexander Majors House Museum: Built in 1856, the Alexander Majors House originally served as the base of operations for Majors’ overland shipping company, Russell, Majors & Waddell. Majors was instrumental in the opening of the West, both through his freighting company and his co-ownership of the Pony Express. Visitors will learn about his life and businesses, as well as westward expansion and nineteenth-century life.

From a restless blacksmith to a caretaker who has truly made the home her permanent residence, many ghost stories swirl around the Major’s House. Paranormal investigators agree the House is a paranormal hotspot. Nationally recognized as a haunted location, the Majors House’s paranormal activity has been featured in the Los Angeles Times and Haunted Places: The National Directory.

Ages sixteen and up are welcome. All minors need to be accompanied by an adult.

Participants must be able to stand, walk, and ascend and descend stairs during the tour. Some accommodations may be made with advance notice.

Tickets are $50 per person. Camp runs from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
