Description
Paul Lovett will give an in-person talk about the history represented on his handcrafted “Golden Age of Rehoboth Beach” diorama, recently gifted to the Rehoboth Beach Museum.
Now located in the museum’s west, first floor gallery, Paul Lovett’s “Golden Age of Rehoboth” diorama is a miniature model of the city set back in time to circa 1910, the era when the railroad ran down Rehoboth Avenue.
The museum’s executive director, Heidi Nasstrom Evans says, “the exhibit is so charming and clearly reflects its maker’s passion for the history of our wonderful town.” While the exhibit is now on permanent view and can be enjoyed whenever the museum is open, Nasstrom Evans says, “it is best experienced in Mr. Lovett’s presence, when he personalizes the history to the interests of his audience.”
Sign up for Mr. Lovett’s upcoming, in-person tour of the diorama at the museum on Monday, November 18 at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $10. Contact education@rbmuseum.org and 302-227-7310 with any questions.
