Originally brought together by Honolulu burlesque pioneer, Lola Love in 2014, they continue to push the envelope in femme-powered tease under the creative direction of Susie Scorpio . Group members come from various dance backgrounds and love to incorporate creative movement and dynamic choreography iand Raw Sensuality nto their unexampled approach to provacative performance art.

On Wednesday, March 6th and March 13th, The Aphrodisiacs have the pleasure to host guest instructor and Cat of All Trades, Miss Catwings!
Miss Catwings has been a fixture in the Honolulu arts scene and burlesque community for nearly two decades. She was on the Programming Team at BurlyCon, a burlesque arts educational convention (2013-2019), has been a featured performer at the Hawaii Burlesque Festival (Honolulu, HI: 2012 & 2013) The Asian Burlesque Festival (New York, NY: 2013), The Show-Me Burlesque Festival (St. Louis, MO: 2018), and was a headliner for The Quarantine Burlesque Festival (Online: 2020), produced the Hawaiʻi Edition of The Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame (Online: 2021) and will be headlining at What The Funk?! An All BIPOC Festival this August 2024.
This is the first time Miss Catwings has taught in Hawaii for nearly a decade, so don’t miss this chance to take these special series of Master Classes.

This 60-min all about face workshop will help get your face into shape and will grab your audiences attention! Let Miss Catwings help you harness the power of a subtle eyebrow raise, give make-up tips on how to enhance that mug, and teach you some at home exercises you can do to whip your face into shape! A great class for performers or anyone who just wants to up their face game.
BRING: a disposable or cloth face mask, a hand mirror and your smartphone to class.

Wednesday, March 13th, 6pm: Been There, Never Done That! How to elevate your performance creativity to the next level. $20
In this 60-min lecture/round table class, you will learn techniques on how to take your ideas to the next level and push your creativity past the obvious. This class centers around the concept that no idea is new and everything has already been done. Miss Catwings will help you break down methods of brainstorming, re-evaluate elements of an act and elevate your creative acuity and take your performances to the next level.
BRING: a way to take notes (pen & paper or digital is fine) BONUS if you have an act idea you are trying to elevate for workshopping, but not necessary.
