Philly Sketchfest was created in 2008 to celebrate sketch comedy in the City of Brotherly Love. Over the years, Philly Sketchfest has brought some of the best sketch comedians to Philadelphia. In addition to live shows, Philly Sketchfest also produces a podcast, My First Sketch, hosted by Josh Higham, available wherever you get your podcasts.
Description
Philly Sketchfest presents High Dramma (from Philly) and Public Breakup (from Los Angeles)!
Performing since 2008, High Dramma is an independent sketch comedy troupe that combines traditional sketch comedy with heavy doses of absurdism, all intertwined with live music provided by a mad ukulele player. It's a whirlwind of high-minded vulgarity and low-brow sophistication. You'll like it.
Public Breakup is like if The Breakfast Club characters became best friends and performed sketch shows together. The stoners, the homecoming queen, the quirky nerd, a jock, and even that one teacher (if he were maybe a little more chill). An unlikely combination of misfits, Public Breakup is known for sweetly misguided characters who just can’t let it go, tightly choreographed dance numbers, multimedia elements to augment and expand our worlds, and exploring the dumbest possible realities. Truly. We're very dumb!
