Description

Philly Sketchfest presents Party Trick (from New York City), Grace & the Gang (from Washington DC), and Stay Funny. Stay Scared. (from Brooklyn)!

Party Trick is a sketch comedy team from the Magnet Theater in New York, NY. While birthed in 2023, its members have long haunted the stage performing sketch, improv, musical improv, stand-up, plain old regular theatre, and dance, too. Off stage, their writing has appeared on websites like McSweeney’s, Hard Drive, and The Onion, as well as actual news websites with journalistic standards and stuff. This diverse team delights in creating ridiculous yet thought-provoking comedy to find the humor in today’s stories and social norms. In 2024, the team performed at the inaugural DC Sketchfest. Find them on Instagram @partytrick_sketch!

Grace and the Gang is the brain-child of Grace Fennell, an actor, improvisor, and writer based in DC. Grace and the Gang's comedy is a mix of absurdism, clowning, physical comedy, and dark humor. Join Grace and her pals on this comedy adventure!

Erica was an exceptionally terrified child. Then one day, everything changed. She now watches movies like 'The Conjuring' and 'It' for fun. As it turns out, the connections between horror and comedy are more prevalent than we thought. Come watch 'Stay Funny. Stay Scared', her half-hour exploration of all things horror. Laugh at some spooky themed characters and be a part in discovering how to overcome the terror within.
