The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership's Community Kitchen is a cookery school where everyone can cook, learn new skills and enjoy food with others. We want everyone to experience the benefits of cooking and eating together. By paying for a cookery class, you help other people to attend cookery activities, regardless of finance, confidence or ability, and to make lasting changes to their lives.
Description
This is a special, fundraising event and Dominic Sherriff from Bonsai Plant Kitchen is donating his time to help raise funds for our community cookery groups. Thank you all for your support.
Dominic Sherriff founded Bonsai Plant Kitchen three years ago with the goal of bringing East-Asian plant-based cuisine with a twist to the people of Brighton. With over 14 years of culinary experience, Dominic has honed his skills in some of the finest establishments across the globe, including the Sydney Opera House and The Dorchester Hotel.
His vision is to combine his deep knowledge of East-Asian flavours with innovative, plant-based dishes, creating a unique and delicious dining experience. You will work in pairs to create a menu of:
- Vietnamese summer rolls filled with smoked tofu, turmeric pickled cucumber, carrot, daikon and herbs. With nuoc cham dipping sauce
- Miso maple and wasabi glazed aubergine
- Barbeque Napa cabbage with goma dressing
- Creme caramel with raspberries
You will receive a welcome glass of prosecco and a paired glass of wine with your meal chosen by Bonsai Plant Kitchen’s sommelier.
