Description

About the play
When liberal talk show host Ben Simmons brings the infamous gay "right wing" loud mouth, Constantine Verrand on his show, the controversy it causes could cost him his friends, his partner, and his beloved show.

About the playwright
Dave (he/him) is a GLAAD award winning comic book writer, playwright, theater director, and teaching artist. He has been making theater in the Philadelphia area for almost twenty years, Dave is one of the founders of The New Play Reading Series at the MAC (with Julie Zaffarano and Keenya Jackson.) His ongoing comic book series Dash has been adapted into an audio drama (available wherever you get your podcasts) and season 2 will be released later this year. Dave holds a BA in Theater Arts from Temple University and an MFA in Writing for the Stage and Screen from Point Park University. He lives outside Philadelphia with his Yorkie Ernie. daveebersole.com

About the series
The Media Arts Council (MAC) Play Reading Series was created by playwrights Julie Zaffarano, Dave Ebersole, and Keenya Jackson, in partnership with the MAC to create a space for local playwrights to hear their work read by talented actors and receive feedback from a public audience. The only regular new play reading series in in the area, it brings exciting new stories to Delaware County.

Playwrights, actors, and directors who are interested in being involved in the series should contact Julie Zaffarano, juliezaffarano.gmail.com. Due to the limited budget for this project, we are unable to offer actors or directors a stipend through the MAC.
