Description
Imagine a global grassroots movement of tens of thousands of children, uniting worldwide to promote children’s rights and the UN Sustainable Development goals. This movement exists, and is called the Children’s Parliaments.
At this event we will screen "Power to the Children," a documentary about the Children's Parliaments movement in India. Swarnalakshmi Ravi, who is featured in the film, will join us afterward for a Q&A. Two current youth members of the Provisional World Children's Parliament will also attend as panelists.
We are raising funds to start a new chapter of the Provisional World Children's Parliament in Kenya. The children live in high poverty conditions and will decide on a new community project together that is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
