Description

This will be a fun way to learn a printmaking technique with quick results. Make your own etched mini- plate. You will learn how to make a dry point etched plate , ink the plate,  and run it through the press with several layers of color.  You will leave with a finished print or two! 2 hour class. All levels of ability are welcome. No experience needed.

Cost is $40, all materials included.

Workshop limited to 8 participants.

Instructor: Sharon Whitham

Sharon is a printmaker and mixed media artist who spends half the year living on Great Cranberry Island. She draws inspiration from the constantly changing landscape and infinite variations of colors, textures and shapes in nature. Influenced by both nature and culture, Sharon explores ideas of balance, connections, impermanence, resilience and adaptation in her work, as well as the impact of climate change on our planet.
