Description

Join us for lunch and conversation with leadership of the Israeli Reform Movement (IMPJ) about challenges facing the Jewish state, the future of Liberal Zionism.

For decades, the Israel Reform Movement, and its legal and advocacy arm, the Israel Religious Action Center, have served on the front lines of nurturing Israel as a Jewish and democratic state – one that adheres to the vision of Israel’s Declaration of Independence as a country for all its citizens; and one that Jews around the world are proud to call home.

In September 2021, Anna Kislanski was chosen to replace MK Rabbi Gilad Kariv as Director General (CEO) of the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism (IMPJ). Anna is an experienced educator and community organizer who, prior to her appointment as Director General, spent the past decade as IMPJ Deputy Director General, overseeing the congregational and educational units of the Israel Reform Movement and strengthening the network of Reform Congregations in Israel.

We will also hear from David Bernstein, Deputy Director General of the IMPJ. David Bernstein co-founded Kibbutz Yahel in Israel and held various roles at the Jewish Agency for Israel, where he directed global partnerships for 20 years. Active in the Israel Reform and Progressive Movement, he chaired congregations and served in IMPJ leadership. David joined the senior team of the IMPJ in 2014 and has since contributed to the World Zionist Organization, recently appointed to its Executive.
