Brighton, Sussex BN1 9SEJoin Brighton and Hove Food Partnership and Sussex University to explore how landworker oral histories could provide useful context for educating various audiences of the role of people on the land in shaping our landscape, and discuss how to integrate these into educational resources. Our landscape has been shaped by agriculture over millennia, and this history can help to inform a sustainable future for the downs by engaging the local population in our shared history.
We want to hear from bodies with a responsibility to educate, be that the public or students, so that we can build an educational resource that helps to retell our shared past for an improved food and farming future.
To finish the afternoon, Explore the connections between past, present and future in our local landscapes, by helping to co-design a “Farming Futures” game.
