Join us for the fourth installment of the RI 250th Educator Workshop Series! Learn more about the industries that shaped Rhode Island and its economy. This session will explore key historical themes which greatly impacted the economic development of our state, including the transatlantic slave trade, rum distilling, livestock and dairy farming, the China trade, the Industrial Revolution and Samuel Slater, textile manufacturing, and the evolution of industries such as rubber goods, machine tools, precious metals, and jewelry manufacturing. Free lessons, resources, a letter for 1 1/2 hours of professional development points, and a $100 stipend will be provided for all educators attending. This workshop is open to Rhode Island educators only.
