Description
What did it take to get here?
Rites of Passage is a new play centering around the experiences of a Nigerian immigrant in Canada and a settler Canadian. Based on the playwrights’s experiences of immigrating to Canada after waiting for a decision for two years and five months, the play takes the audience through the psychological and emotional trauma faced by many immigrants before immigrating to, and while living in, Canada. This production is appropriate for all ages, but is recommended for ages 16 and up.
This production is grateful for the support of Canada Council for the Arts.
Doors will open 30 mins before the showtime. This production features onstage seating options that will invite you into a cafe experience.
